This page tells you how to have the personal information The Fight Fan holds about you deleted, what deletion actually removes, and how long it takes. It applies whether you have an account here, sent us a message, or only ever interacted with one of our social media accounts.
This document is published in English, and the English text is the version that governs.
Who to ask
The Fight Fan is operated by Pallas Tech LLC. Every deletion request goes through our contact page at /contact, which is the only channel we monitor. We do not publish a direct email address, because an address on a public page attracts far more automated abuse than genuine correspondence -- the contact form reaches the same people.
You do not need an account to ask, and you do not need to explain why.
What to include in the request
We can only delete what we can identify. Tell us enough to find you and no more than that:
- The email address on your account, if you have one.
- The social network and the handle you used, if you are asking about a comment, reply or message on one of our accounts.
- The approximate date, if you are asking about a contact form message you sent us.
- The words "data deletion request" somewhere in the message, so it is not mistaken for an ordinary enquiry.
Deleting your account
Ask us through the contact page and we will delete the account. There is no self-service delete button in the app yet; when there is one, this page will say so.
Deleting the account deletes the email address and password hash held against it, and the fight predictions and picks stored against it. Those picks are what produce your record, so deletion removes the record too. This is not reversible and we cannot restore it afterwards.
Deleting a contact form message
Contact form messages contain the name, email address and message text you typed. The contents are never written to our application logs. Ask us to delete a message and we delete it, along with the reply thread if we answered.
If you interacted with us on social media
The Fight Fan operates accounts on Facebook, Instagram, Threads, YouTube, TikTok, Pinterest and Bluesky, and publishes to them through a self-hosted scheduling tool. Those tools hold our own posts and our own access tokens. They do not build a profile of you.
Two different things can be deleted here, and only one of them is ours to delete:
- A comment, reply or direct message you left on one of our accounts. Ask us and we will remove it from our post or our inbox.
- The data the social network itself holds about you -- your account, your activity, your advertising profile. That belongs to Meta, TikTok, Google, Pinterest or Bluesky, not to us, and only they can delete it. Use that network's own account settings or privacy centre.
How long it takes
We act on deletion requests within 30 days, and usually much sooner. We will confirm in writing when it is done.
Backups are the honest exception. A deleted record can survive in an encrypted backup for a short period until that backup rotates out. It is not restored to the live site, it is not used for anything, and it disappears with the backup.
What we cannot delete
- Ordinary web-server request logs, which contain IP addresses and are rotated on a short cycle rather than searched per person.
- Anything we are required to keep to comply with a legal obligation, or to establish or defend a legal claim. We will tell you if this applies to your request.
- Content the social networks hold about you, as described above.
- Aggregate analytics that cannot be traced back to an individual, because there is nothing left in it to identify.
Your other rights
Deletion is one of several rights described in our Privacy Policy, alongside access, correction, portability and objection. The same contact page handles all of them. Last updated: 22 August 2026.
